Urban Balance is growing and looking for licensed therapists, psychiatrists, and APNs!

Urban Balance, a premier outpatient psychotherapy practice with multiple locations in the Chicagoland area, St. Louis and Denver, is seeking to expand our team of licensed psychotherapists, psychiatrists, and APNs. Therapists at the supervised license level (e.g., LPC) are part-time, up to 30 hours per week. Therapists at the independent license level (e.g., LCPC) are independent contractors, with no limit on hours worked per week.

Illinois: Applicants must be at the supervised license level (e.g., LPC, LSW or AMFT), or be at the independent level (e.g., LCPC, LCSW, LMFT or Licensed Psychologist). Due to restrictions with insurance, candidates that are not licensed or are awaiting licensure are not eligible.

Colorado and Missouri: Applicants must be licensed at the independent level (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT or Licensed Psychologist). Candidates at the supervised license level in these states are not eligible at this time.

For all locations, all applicants must have evening and/or weekend availability and must be available for at least 12 hours per week for consideration. Those at the supervised license level are able to work 12-30 hours per week. Applicants at the independently licensed level (e.g., LCPC) are able to work more than 30 hours per week. Candidates with specializations (e.g., Addictions, EMDR, Eating Disorders, Christian/spiritual focus) are strongly encouraged to apply.

Candidates with the National Provider Identifier (NPI) and CAQH processes complete are preferred, however, these steps may be completed during the application process. For assistance in completing these steps, please see links below.

Students: UB is approved practicum/internship site for Northwestern University and Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Unfortunately, UB is not able to accommodate additional schools at this time. Our internships have been filled for the 2018-19 academic year.

Urban Balance is also seeking psychiatrists and Advanced Practice Nurses to join our dynamic team. These positions will work out of our Chicago offices. They will receive a strong referral base through our intake department and referring clinicians. They will be responsible for their own patients and work collaboratively with the therapists as appropriate. Primary responsibilities will include evaluations, brief psychotherapy and medication management. Referrals and billing will be predominantly overseen by the practice. Candidates must be licensed in the state of Illinois. Board certified is a plus.
