Neurofeedback

For unknown reasons, sometimes the brain can become out of balance. This imbalance can have a variety of physical and psychological effects. With Neurofeedback, we help you regain that balance.

Neurofeedback is a non-invasive, scientifically backed training that involves sensors being placed on the scalp and then connected to sensitive electronics and a computer that detect, amplify, and record specific brain activity. This enables you to see almost instantaneously when you are firing the desired brainwaves. Through repetitive firing, your brain learns to optimize itself. Because of the plasticity of the brain the results are long lasting, therefore there is no lifelong maintenance as there can be with medications and their side effects. Urban Balance has a neurofeedback coach that trains you throughout the process, helping you find the quickest and most effective way to balance your brain to a healthy state.

The most substantial research confirming the efficacy of Neurofeedback is when used for attention issues, pain, sleep, and symptoms of anxiety. Neurofeedback is scientifically shown to increase mental flexibility, stress management, performance anxiety, increase mood stability, and concentration. Additionally, Neurofeedback training is commonly found to be associated with improved academic performance, cognitive functioning, memory or anything that could benefit from a balanced brain.
