What made you become a therapist?

As long as I can remember I have wanted to help people in conflict resolution, maybe in part due to being a middle child. I have a desire to listen and understand each individual’s experience and help them find meaning throughout their journey. I am interested in relationship dynamics and helping people improve upon their interactions.

What are your specialties?

Anxiety disorders, interpersonal conflict, traditional and non-traditional relationships, work/life balance, life transitions, sexual and gender identities, children and families including working with individuals who have developmental or intellectual disabilities.

Why do you believe that counseling can help?

I believe that counseling provides the opportunity to join with people during difficult times in their lives especially during times when they may feel alone and hopeless.

Did you have a career before becoming a therapist?

No I didn’t!

Why is it important to seek counseling?

Through seeking counseling, people are able to learn healthy coping skills that can benefit them throughout their lifetime. Counseling helps people develop self-awareness and learn how to set healthy and appropriate boundaries.
