What self-care techniques or activities do you do?

I love hiking, exercise, painting, music, and animals.

What made you become a therapist?

I love the idea of contributing to my community one member at a time. I also love conceptualizing the moving puzzle pieces that make up each person.

What are your specialties?

Mindfulness, brain-based explanations of mental health, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Why do you believe that counseling can help?

Everyone needs a space to process their world. Sometimes our natural support system is not quite enough to help us reach or get back to health. Also, therapy can move beyond treating illness and help optimize one’s life experience.

Why is it important to seek counseling?

When your body and mind are at their best, your life experience is at its best as well. I believe that normalizing mental health is a wonderful contribution to our community.
