What self-care techniques or activities do you do?

Gardening, yoga, walks along nature trails, dancing, painting and play with my dog.

What made you become a therapist?

My compassion for others and desire to assist others in finding their own path to more meaningful moments throughout daily life.

What are your specialties?

Grief and loss (including coping with death and dying/end of life stages), divorce coping skills, metaphysical belief/lifestyles

Why do you believe that counseling can help?

Because the process of articulating verbally (or otherwise expressing such as art, nature, or movement therapy) requires some thought and introspection and ultimately a release of emotion tied to those thoughts and feelings occurs.

Did you have a career before becoming a therapist?

Nope. My entire adult life I have worked in behavioral health and wellness.

Why is it important to seek counseling?

Because patterns are sometimes difficult to change and when we are stuck in repeating thoughts, feelings, and/or behaviors that do not serve our highest good we can call on someone who is trained to help us break free from outmoded ways of living.
