BJ Rudd, Clinical Intern

BJ Rudd is a Clinical Intern, currently completing his Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. BJ is passionate about building an accepting and caring environment for clients to feel comfortable being their most authentic selves. Using an integrative approach, BJ draws from client-centered therapy, using an existential lens to help clients achieve self-awareness. He believes that growth and self-actualization are key to discovering one’s own purpose(s) in life. His clinical interests include working with those seeking validation and support addressing cultural, social, or psychological issues unique to marginalized and underserved communities. He provides LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapy and also works with those experiencing anxiety, stress and anger management issues, depressive symptoms, trauma, sexuality, gender, grief and loss, life transitions, body image and self-esteem issues. BJ believes that everyone should be provided the opportunity to discover healing and growth through vulnerability, by way of a safe, supportive, and collaborative relationship.
