Ilana Dress, LCSW
Ilana Dress is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing therapy to individuals and couples with a variety of needs, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, work-life balance, relational issues, and personal and spiritual growth. She has interest in women’s issues, including young adulthood, and pre and post baby adjustment. Ilana also has experience working with the aging population and family caregivers. Prior to joining UB, Ilana worked in community mental health settings. Ilana sees therapy as a safe, non-judgmental space to process, reflect, grow, and heal. She views therapy as an essential part of routine health care that can assist individuals in moving toward self-actualization and fulfillment. Ilana has experience with the psychodynamic approach, solution-focused therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and narrative therapy. She also strongly believes in the therapeutic value of music and art. She utilizes a person-centered and strengths-focused approach, as well as systemic and holistic frameworks when working with her clients.
