Jane Ashley, LPC
Denver - Hale Pkwy
Jane Ashley is a Licensed Professional Counselor who approaches her work with people from the perspective that the problems they are struggling with in their lives are not who they are. She provides collaborative work to help heal old wounds, and to build on dreams, hopes and what we value in our lives. Much of the process is inspiring, spirit-nurturing and fun. Jane has worked with individuals, couples, families and groups in private practice for more than 25 years. Clients who benefit most from working with Jane are creative and interested in freeing themselves from the constraints of social, family and cultural expectations that have become internalized and held as truths. Her therapeutic approach is known as narrative therapy (which incorporates aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy, but in a client-centered way). Other strong influences in her work are Buddhist philosophy and mindfulness practices. Jane earned her Master’s degree and licensure in counseling and marriage and family therapy through George Mason University, Virginia Tech University and the University of Virginia. Jane has also completed 20 years of post-licensure training in narrative therapy.
