Kathleen Pendergast takes a integrative approach to the counseling process that includes aspects of Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Client-Centered, and Cognitive-Behavioral therapeutic techniques. Her goal is to provide each client with an emotionally safe environment where they feel comfortable exploring even the biggest challenges, whether it is how to manage overwhelming emotions such as anxiety or depression, learning to recognize and fight unhealthy or toxic patterns in life and relationships, or confronting past trauma or abuse. She has an enthusiasm for all manners of life and strives to cultivate in others their own version of what it means to love life and live in the present moment. Her clients have included those with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, life transitions and relationship issues, as well as cultural issues, LGBTQ individuals and body image struggles. She specializes in grief and relationship stress and is focused on helping those dealing with loss to gain ample time to heal by learning soothing tools. No matter the issue at hand, Kathleen is committed to being non-judgmental, empathetic, and entirely focused on helping you discover ways to independently manage daily struggles and reach your full potential.
