Marsha Muir Brock is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with twenty five years of experience working with trauma affected children, adolescents and families. She has previously worked in the fields of special education, community mental health and child welfare where she found success making connections with resistant adolescents and guiding them towards increasing self-awareness, personal growth, and wellness. Marsha understands that going to a counselor is a very brave step and that reaching out to someone is a huge success. By creating a safe and empathetic environment in which to explore thoughts, feelings and behaviors; Marsha uses a holistic and strengths-based approach towards creating a more positive experience by working through personal issues like anger management, anxiety, depression, grief, relational problems, self image issues, stage of life transitions or stress. Marsha is able to work well with individuals who are interested in engaging in a more lengthy insight oriented therapy, as well as those who would benefit from a solutions focused approach to cope with or resolve issues in a more expedient manner. Marsha received her Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Governors State University. She is a member of Chi Sigma Iota, the international honor society for professional counselors.
