Michael Maloney is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who earned his Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Michael specializes in individuals and couples primarily with adults. Michael has completed post graduate training in areas of trauma informed therapy, multi-cultural issues, LGBTQI populations, and expressive therapies. His other areas of interests include both traditional and nontraditional relationships, HIV/AIDS, anxiety, cultural identity issues, domestic violence, Self-esteem, depression, and life transitions. He works to build a safe and collaborative space with clients to look each person’s unique goals, strengths, and struggles. Michael has worked within research targeting sexual and gender minorities, addictions and HIV/STIs. He is well versed in a variety of therapy models including Emotion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral, Strength-based, Motivational Interviewing, Behavioral Activation, and Systems Focused.
