Shalini earned her M.A. in Counseling from Northwestern University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Shalini works with individuals and couples, and is passionate about helping clients experiencing PTSD/trauma, anxiety, depression, family and relationship conflict, stress, and self-esteem issues. Shalini considers her greatest strength to be her ability to offer a warm, nurturing environment to her clients, one in which they can freely explore their feelings, thoughts, and interactions. She believes that the role of therapy is to tap into the inner strength and optimism that each individual carries within, and to help clients achieve greater fulfillment and peace in their lives. Shalini utilizes an insight-oriented, integrative therapeutic approach tailored to each client’s unique goals, and incorporates treatment modalities such as CBT and mindfulness. Shalini received her clinical training in community mental health settings and at The Family Institute at Northwestern University. Before becoming a psychotherapist, Shalini spent 18 years in the corporate world, a breadth of experience that allows her to help clients navigate life transitions, pursue work-life balance, and address workplace issues. Shalini holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics from Knox College.
